Job summary

Performance Food Group is hiring a 2nd Shift Yard Driver to move tractor trailers, park loaded/empty trailers, and transport units to offsite facilities. You’ll operate safely under DOT rules and company policies while supporting a reliable, efficient yard environment.

The role requires a CDL-A, clean MVR, and the ability to pass all tests. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities are offered in a fast-paced distribution setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• 6-12 months of tractor trailer experience.
• Must be able to work the scheduled times and overtime.
• Valid CDL A.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet all state licensing/certification requirements where applicable.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Pass road test.
• Valid DOT Health Card or able to secure one.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks pre/post trip according to DOT regulations; report safety issues.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines; report hazards.
• Safely move trailers to/from loading docks and designated parking areas.
• Handle and file paperwork for offsite maintenance/inspections.
• Ensure tractors, trailers and freight are secured at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness in tractor, dock area, and trailers.
• Secure equipment and complete paperwork at end of shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
