Job summary

XPO Logistics in Charlotte, NC is hiring a Truck Driver Student to begin CDL-A training while gaining on-the-job experience as an LTL driver. You’ll attend training sessions, perform required inspections, and handle freight under supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license for at least 12 months.
• Attain a CDL-A permit by day one and endorsements within 90 days: doubles/triples, tanker, HAZMAT.

Responsibilities

• Attend CDL-A training sessions and gain on-the-job experience as an LTL Driver.
• Perform vehicle inspections per FMCSR 396.13 under supervision.
• Maintain records per FMCSR, DOT and company policies.
• Load and unload freight with a forklift as needed (touch freight).
• Verify documentation and reports and adhere to safety policies.
• Maintain contact with service center personnel in a fast-paced environment.
