NIS EXPRESS in Fairfield, CA is seeking CDL-A drivers with little or no experience to start a career on a western regional fleet with short runs and steady training. You will ride with an experienced trainer on real loads and earn $650/week during training, then move into your own truck on full pay, with a guaranteed $1,000/week for the first 3 months of solo driving.

Have your CDL-A but no driving experience yet? This is where you start. Fairfield drivers can build a career on a western regional fleet that keeps runs short, usually no more than 2 days from home, and trains new CDL holders on the road.

How You Start

• Ride with an experienced driver trainer on real loads
• $650 per week during training
• Move into your own truck on full pay once your trainer signs off
• $1,000 per week guaranteed for your first 3 months of solo driving

The Job

• Dry van freight across the 11 western states
• 1,700 to 2,100 miles per week
• Home every 2 weeks
• Option to run past the western states if you want more miles

Pay

• Average weekly earnings of $1,000 to $1,300
• Standard mileage pay scale that grows with experience
• Up to 6 cents per mile extra in performance bonus
• $15 stop pay

Two Ways to Start

• CDL-A in hand, no experience: 120+ hours from an accredited CDL school. Paid training with a driver trainer, paid every week while you learn.
• Experienced drivers: 6 months OTR in the last 12 months, or 12 months in the last 5 years. Skip training and go straight to your own truck.
