Job summary

NIS EXPRESS in Boise, ID seeks CDL-A trainees for hands-on training with real loads. You’ll earn $650 per week during training and a guaranteed $1,000 per week for your first 3 months of solo driving.

Dry van freight across 11 western states, 1,700–2,100 miles per week. Home every two weeks with the option to run beyond the western states for more miles. Medical, dental and vision after 30 days, plus 401k with company match.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL, 21 or older
• No more than 2 moving violations in 2 years
• Able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen

Job description

Have your CDL-A but no driving experience yet? This is where you start. Boise drivers can build a career on a western regional fleet that keeps runs short, usually no more than 2 days from home, and trains new CDL holders on the road.

How You Start

• Ride with an experienced driver trainer on real loads
• $650 per week during training
• Move into your own truck on full pay once your trainer signs off
• $1,000 per week guaranteed for your first 3 months of solo driving

The Job

Pay

• Average weekly earnings of $1,000 to $1,300
• Standard mileage pay scale that grows with experience
• Up to 6 cents per mile extra in performance bonus
• $15 stop pay

Two Ways to Start

• CDL-A in hand, no experience: 120+ hours from an accredited CDL school. Paid training with a driver trainer, paid every week while you learn.
• Experienced drivers: 6 months OTR in the last 12 months, or 12 months in the last 5 years. Skip training and go straight to your own truck.
