Job summary

NIS EXPRESS in Fresno, CA, is looking for drivers starting with CDL-A but no experience. You’ll train with an experienced trainer, earn $650 weekly during training, then move to solo driving with $1,000 per week guaranteed for the first three months, and average weekly earnings of $1,000–$1,300 once solo.

Dry van freight covers the 11 western states, with 1,700–2,100 miles per week and home time every two weeks; there is also an option to extend miles beyond the region.

• No more than 2 moving violations in 2 years.
• Able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.

Have your CDL-A but no driving experience yet? This is where you start. Fresno drivers can build a career on a western regional fleet that keeps runs short, usually no more than 2 days from home, and trains new CDL holders on the road.

How You Start

• Ride with an experienced driver trainer on real loads
• $650 per week during training
• Move into your own truck on full pay once your trainer signs off
• $1,000 per week guaranteed for your first 3 months of solo driving

  Pay

  • Average weekly earnings of $1,000 to $1,300
  • Standard mileage pay scale that grows with experience
  • Up to 6 cents per mile extra in performance bonus

  Two Ways to Start

  • CDL-A in hand, no experience: 120+ hours from an accredited CDL school. Paid training with a driver trainer, paid every week while you learn.
  • Experienced drivers: 6 months OTR in the last 12 months, or 12 months in the last 5 years. Skip training and go straight to your own truck.
