Job summary

NIS EXPRESS in Cheyenne, WY seeks CDL-A drivers with little or no experience to start on a western regional fleet. You’ll train with an experienced driver and progress to solo driving with solid pay and consistent miles.

Expect 1,700–2,100 miles weekly, home every two weeks, and benefits after 30 days. Training pays $650/week, with a $1,000/week guarantee for 3 months, plus performance bonuses and stop pay.

• DOT medical and drug screen must be passable.

Have your CDL-A but no driving experience yet? This is where you start. Cheyenne drivers can build a career on a western regional fleet that keeps runs short, usually no more than 2 days from home, and trains new CDL holders on the road.

How You Start

• Ride with an experienced driver trainer on real loads
• $650 per week during training
• Move into your own truck on full pay once your trainer signs off
• $1,000 per week guaranteed for your first 3 months of solo driving

The Job

Pay

• Average weekly earnings of $1,000 to $1,300
• Standard mileage pay scale that grows with experience
• Up to 6 cents per mile extra in performance bonus
• $15 stop pay

Two Ways to Start

• CDL-A in hand, no experience: 120+ hours from an accredited CDL school. Paid training with a driver trainer, paid every week while you learn.
• Experienced drivers: 6 months OTR in the last 12 months, or 12 months in the last 5 years. Skip training and go straight to your own truck.

Everyone Needs

• Class A CDL, 21 or older
• No more than 2 moving violations in 2 years
• Able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
