Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a professional truck driver to pick up and deliver freight between Service Centers and customers while supporting the selling process. The role requires operating tractor-trailer combinations, performing safety inspections, and handling freight with equipment such as forklift and pallet jack.

Responsibilities include securing cargo, documenting shipments, complying with DOT regulations, and communicating with dispatch.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A with double/triple, hazmat and tank endorsements required.
• 1 year of experience in the last 3 years or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must meet Motor Vehicle Record standards and DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles/triples.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies.
• Handle freight with forklift, pallet jack, hand truck.
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets, straps and rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight as needed.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
