Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a driver to pick up and deliver freight between service centers and customers, supporting the selling process.

The role involves operating tractor-trailer combinations, performing safety inspections, handling freight with equipment, securing cargo, and maintaining precise documentation. Candidates must have a Class A CDL with hazmat and tank endorsements, MVR within standards, and DOT regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat and tank endorsements.
• 1 year of experience within the last 3 years or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must have acceptable MVR according to hiring standards.
• Must meet DOT FMCSA 391 regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles/triples where applicable.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies.
• Handle freight using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets, straps, and rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight as needed.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
• Comply with hazardous materials regulations.
