Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a Residential Driver to safely collect solid waste and recyclables on curbside or backdoor routes. The role emphasizes courteous customer service, adherence to safety protocols, and efficient route execution.

Salary offered is $24–$26 per hour with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for overtime. The position requires a CDL and prior driving experience, and includes a full suite of company-paid and voluntary benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED desired.
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
• Minimum one year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Ability to meet safety-sensitive criteria per Company standards.
• Ability to safely drive the truck and operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a residential/recycling collection truck and hydraulic system to collect solid waste and/or recyclables on the specified route.
• Load solid waste, yard waste and/or recyclables into the rear or side of the waste collection vehicle.
• Operate equipment on truck to compact trash into vehicle.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and complete route documentation.
• Maintain route quality and safety standards as directed by management.
• Overtime may be required; attend safety and branch meetings.
