Job summary

Performance Food Group is hiring a Shuttle Driver to transport empty trailers to warehouse locations and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yards in a safe, timely manner.

You will operate tractor/trailer and/or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes, adhering to DOT regulations and company safety guidelines. Responsibilities include pre/post trip inspections, securing loads, and maintaining logs.

Qualifications

• CDL A with doubles endorsement required.
• 12+ months of commercial driving experience.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must meet state licensing/certification requirements.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Willing to work 3rd shift, Sunday-Thursday nights.
• Pre-employment drug test and road test.
• DOT health card current or able to secure one.
• Able to lift and move freight weighing 60–90 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) on tractor/truck and trailer per DOT regulations.
• Report safety issues or needed repairs.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Inspect trailer loads for proper loading and securing freight.
• Ensure route paperwork is available to driver.
• Drive and deliver trailers according to schedule.
• Perform hook/unhook procedures as required.
• Park and store tractor trailers in designated areas.
• Secure equipment and freight; manage damaged goods and returns.
• Complete daily hours-of-service log per regulations.
• Maintain clean work areas in tractor and loading dock.
