Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport trailers between yards and warehouses. You will operate tractor/trailer on intrastate and interstate routes, delivering loads safely while complying with DOT rules and company policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 12 months of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age and able to pass pre-employment drug test.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Valid DOT Health Card (or able to obtain).
• Able to lift 60–90 pounds and handle equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations and ensure vehicle safety.
• Report safety issues and required repairs promptly.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines; report hazards.
• Inspect trailer load for proper securing.
• Ensure route paperwork is available at dispatch.
• Drive and deliver trailers according to schedule.
• Perform hook/unhook procedures per safety guidelines.
• Park and store tractor trailers in designated areas.
• Lock and secure equipment and freight at all times.
• Secure damaged goods and returns and complete paperwork.
• Unload equipment and remove trailer trash as required.
• Complete daily hours-of-service logs per regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness in tractor, dock area, and trailers.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience

12 months of commercial driving experience
