Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a dedicated CDL driver to move trailers between service centers and turn-points using tractor-trailers, including doubles and triples where applicable.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, document handling, and maintain logs while adhering to DOT rules. Overnight stays may be required, with pay rates reflecting linehaul and non-linehaul duties specified by FedEx.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Class A CDL with double/triple, hazardous materials and tank endorsements; automatic transmission allowed.
• 1 year experience within the last 3 years or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must have acceptable MVR per hiring standards.
• Must meet DOT regulations under FMC 391.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles/triples where applicable.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies as needed.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Maintain accurate daily logs.
• Comply with hazardous material regulations and procedures.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate delays or issues.
• May chain tires or perform other duties as required.
• Load/unload freight when necessary.
• Adhere to all laws, regulations and company policies.
