Job summary

American Driver LLC is seeking drivers for regional intermodal routes in Missouri. You’ll earn a $10,000 sign-on bonus, about $1,500 weekly average, and per-mile pay that scales with tenure. Training pay applies with home weekends and no-touch freight, plus standard benefits.

Expect steady work with 2,000 miles weekly, holidays paid after year one, and a comprehensive benefit package after 30 days. Hazmat may be required within timelines and you will be paid for stops and detentions.

Qualifications

• 21+ years old and valid Class A CDL required.
• Hazmat endorsement within 90 days of hire is reimbursed.
• No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years and clean driving record.
• 3–12 months of tractor-trailer experience in recent years.

Responsibilities

• Operate intermodal regional hauls between Kansas City and St. Louis within 300 miles.
• 75% drop & hook; 25% live load/unload; 100% no touch freight.
• Stay compliant with safety and FMCSA regulations; monitor logs and mileage.

Job description

The numbers up front: $10,000 sign-on bonus, $1,500 weekly average, $0.56 to $0.61 per mile and $225 a day while you train. Regional, no touch intermodal work for drivers in the Moberly area, home every weekend with your truck.

Pay, Line by Line

• Sign-On Bonus: $10,000, first payment after your first dispatch (eligibility terms apply)
• Weekly Average: $1,500 (about $78,000 a year)
• Mileage: $0.56 per mile to start, then $0.57, $0.58, $0.59, $0.60 and $0.61 as each year of tenure passes
• Miles: about 2,000 per week
• Drop and Hook: $25
• Live Load or Unload: $40
• Extra Stop: $15
• Crosstown or Shuttle: $15
• Hazmat Load: $30
• Detention: $20 per hour (after 1.5 hours live, 1 hour drop and hook)
• Training: $225 per day, 3 to 5 days
• Holidays: 6 paid at $200 per day after year one
• Uniforms: 3 shirts plus $150 per year

Schedule

• Tuesday to Saturday, home Sunday and Monday
• Start time chosen by you from several shifts
• 6th day available when freight allows

Freight and Equipment

• Intermodal containers between Kansas City and St. Louis rail yards and customers within 300 miles
• 75% drop and hook, 25% customer live load or unload, 100% no touch
• 100% automatic, mostly Freightliner, 1500 watt inverters
• Take the tractor home or park at one of our terminals

Requirements

• 21+ with a valid Class A CDL
• 3 months verifiable tractor-trailer experience in the last 6 months with one carrier, 6 months in the last 12, or 12 months in the last 5 years
• Hazmat within 90 days of hire, cost reimbursed
• Safe place to keep the tractor on days off
• No more than 2 moving violations and no careless or reckless driving in 3 years
• No DUI/DWI in 5 years and no major preventable accidents in 3 years
• Must pass hair and urine drug testing, with no failed drug or alcohol test in the last 5 years
