Job summary

American Driver LLC is hiring regional intermodal truck drivers in East Texas with a $10,000 sign-on bonus and a choice of parking options, including home driveway, a secure spot, or company yards. Expect 2,000 miles per week at $0.62–$0.68 per mile, with 75% drop-and-hook and no touch freight.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years old with a valid Class A CDL.
• 3 months verifiable tractor-trailer experience in the last 6 months with one carrier, 6 months in the last 12 months, or 12 months in the last 5 years.
• Hazmat within 180 days of orientation (reimbursed).

Responsibilities

• Move rail containers between customers and Haslet and Wylie rail yards, with some Memphis runs.
• Operate in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Tennessee, Missouri and Kansas.
• Utilize company tractors, chassis and containers for regional intermodal work.

What Makes This Different

Big fleets usually tell you where your truck sleeps on your days off. Here you choose: your driveway, a secure spot near home or one of six company yards. And if you take it home, the miles are paid. Regional intermodal work for drivers in East Texas, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

• Your Call on Parking: home, a safe secure spot, or our yards in Haslet, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Lowell or North Little Rock
• Paid Home Miles: when you take the tractor home
• $10,000 Sign-On Bonus: first payment after your first dispatch (eligibility terms apply)
• $1,538 Weekly Average: about $80,000 a year
• No Touch: 75% drop and hook, and you never handle freight
• Managers On Site: every manager works at the Haslet yard

Pay

• $0.62 to $0.68 per mile on about 2,000 miles a week
• $15 per drop and hook
• Optional 6th day, with a 34 hour reset before returning

Schedule

• Friday to Tuesday or Thursday to Monday
• Out 5, home 2
• Choose a start time between 2 PM and 3 AM

The Work

• Rail containers between customers and the Haslet and Wylie rail yards, with some Memphis runs
• Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Tennessee, Missouri and Kansas
• Automatic sleepers with 1500 watt inverters, company owned tractors, chassis and containers
• 24/7 operation with driver facilities in six locations

Requirements

• At least 21 years old with a valid Class A CDL
• 3 months verifiable tractor-trailer experience in the last 6 months with one carrier, 6 months in the last 12 months, or 12 months in the last 5 years
• Hazmat within 180 days of orientation (reimbursed)
• Reliable transportation and a safe place for the tractor, or use of the Haslet yard
• No more than 2 moving violations and no careless or reckless driving in the last 3 years
• No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years and no major preventable accidents in the last 3 years
• Must pass hair and urine drug testing, with no failed drug or alcohol test in the last 5 years
