Job summary

American Driver LLC is hiring for regional intermodal driving around the Baton Rouge area. Expect about 2,000 miles per week with per-mile pay and a $10,000 sign-on bonus after your first dispatch.

Weekly average earnings are around $1,538, with home miles paid and a realistic annual total near six figures when including the sign-on incentive. Shifts start between 2 PM and 3 AM and include home time on a recurring schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid Class A CDL.
• Hazmat endorsement required within 180 days of orientation.
• No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years and clean driving record as described.

Responsibilities

• Operate regional intermodal freight in the Baton Rouge area.
• Maintain 2,000 miles per week with 75% drop & hook, 100% no touch.
• Utilize company-owned tractors and equipment; follow safety policies.

Job description

The numbers first: $10,000 sign-on bonus, $1,538 weekly average, $0.62 to $0.68 per mile and paid miles home. Regional intermodal work for drivers in the Baton Rouge area.

Pay, Line by Line

• Sign-On Bonus: $10,000, first payment after your first dispatch (eligibility terms apply)
• Weekly Average: $1,538 (about $80,000 a year)
• Mileage: $0.62 to $0.68 per mile
• Miles: about 2,000 per week, which is $1,240 to $1,360 from miles alone
• Drop and Hook: $15
• Home Miles: paid when you take the tractor home
• 6th Day: optional, after a 34 hour reset

Schedule

• Friday to Tuesday or Thursday to Monday
• Out 5 days, home 2
• Start time chosen from shifts between 2 PM and 3 AM

Freight and Equipment

• Rail containers to and from customers and the Haslet and Wylie rail yards, plus Memphis
• Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, Arkansas, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Missouri and Kansas
• 75% drop and hook, 100% no touch
• Automatic sleepers with 1500 watt inverters
• 100% company owned tractors, chassis and containers
• 24/7 driver facilities in Haslet, Houston, San Antonio, Lowell, North Little Rock and Memphis

Training

• Day 1: orientation, 8 AM to 5 PM
• Days 2 to 4 or more: with a certified trainer
• Hazmat within 180 days, reimbursed

Requirements

• At least 21 years old with a valid Class A CDL
• 3 months verifiable tractor-trailer experience in the last 6 months with one carrier, 6 months in the last 12 months, or 12 months in the last 5 years
• Hazmat endorsement within 180 days of orientation
• Reliable transportation and a safe place to park the tractor, or use of the Haslet yard
• No more than 2 moving violations and no careless or reckless driving in the last 3 years
• No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years and no major preventable accidents in the last 3 years
• Must pass hair and urine drug testing, with no failed drug or alcohol test in the last 5 years
