Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a qualified truck driver to pick up and deliver trailers between service centers and turn-point locations using tractor-trailers, including doubles/triples where permitted.

The position requires a Class A CDL with hazmat and tank endorsements, 1 year of recent driving experience or completion of the FedEx Driver Development Course, a clean MVR, and the ability to meet DOT requirements. Daily duties include inspections, logs, and safe handling of freight.

Qualifications

• Must have CDL Class A with hazmat and tank endorsements.
• 1 year experience within the last 3 years or successful completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must have acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) based on hiring standards.
• Must meet all DOT regulatory requirements under 49 CFR Part 391.
• Ability to hook/unhook trailers and lift ~100 pounds repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer, including doubles/triples where applicable.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies to/from tractor and/or trailer.
• Verify and complete required documentation and logs.
• Maintain accurate daily logs and compliance with regulations.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate delays or issues to dispatch.
