Job summary

ABF Freight, an ArcBest company, is hiring a driver in Lafayette, LA for pickup and delivery of cargo to nearby destinations. Duties include loading/unloading, trailer checks, and logging paperwork accurately.

Required: Class-A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker and hazmat endorsements, 1 year of tractor/trailer experience (training available), DOT drug screen and medical; shifts vary by location and may include nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have a Class-A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker and hazmat endorsements and no automatic restriction.
• Minimum 21 years of age and clean driving record.
• Must pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and meet DOT medical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine paperwork and log loading sheets.
• Operate a forklift as needed.
• Load and unload cargo.
• Perform checks like tractor/trailer inspection and setup.
• Pickup and deliver cargo and perform related duties.
