Job summary

ABF Freight, an ArcBest company, seeks a driver/warehouse associate in the Columbia area to handle loading, unloading, and delivery of cargo. The role requires forklift operation, adherence to safety standards, and accurate paperwork.

Requirements include a CDL-A with appropriate endorsements, a high school diploma or GED, 21+ years old, and a clean MVR/DOT history. Training may be available for candidates with limited experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of verifiable tractor/trailer experience; trainees may be eligible.
• CDL-A with doubles/triples, tanker, and hazmat endorsements required.
• Minimum 21 years of age and a safe work history.
• DOT pre-employment drug screen and DOT medical requirements.
• Shifts vary by location and may include days, nights, weekends.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine paperwork and log loading sheets.
• Exercise independent judgment to build/tear down trailers to optimize time and resources.
• Operate a forklift as needed.
• Load and unload cargo.
• Perform checks: check-in, tractor/trailer inspection, tractor setup, and cargo pickup/delivery.
• Other duties as assigned.
