Job summary

ABF Freight, an ArcBest company, seeks an experienced tractor/trailer driver for local pickup and delivery within our service centers' area. Duties include loading/unloading, paperwork, and dock procedures.

You will operate a forklift where needed, meet DOT requirements, and comply with union wage standards and overtime rules. Shift times vary by location, including nights or weekends.

Minimum 21 years old with a clean MVR and hazmat/tanker endorsements preferred; training opportunities available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year tractor/trailer experience; training possible for less.
• Class-A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker and hazmat endorsements; no auto restriction.
• Minimum 21 years old with a safe driving record; pass DOT drug screen and medical.
• Shift days/hours vary by location; may include nights and weekends.
• Teamster union wage with overtime after 8 hours daily.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine paperwork and log loading sheets.
• Use independent judgment to build and tear down trailers while complying with weight laws.
• Operate forklift as needed.
• Load and unload cargo.
• Inspect tractors/trailers, set up tractors, and handle pickup/delivery tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.
