Job summary

ABF Freight, an ArcBest company, is seeking a dock worker to handle pickup and delivery of cargo near the distribution center. Responsibilities include loading/ unloading, logbook upkeep, and trailer setup while adhering to weight laws.

The role requires a Class-A CDL with appropriate endorsements, a high school diploma or GED, and DOT pre-employment screening. Union benefits and weekly pay reflect Teamster-scale structure.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable tractor/trailer experience.
• DOT pre-employment drug screen and medical requirements.
• Class-A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker and hazmat endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine paperwork and log loading sheets accurately.
• Set up and tear down trailers efficiently while complying with weight laws.
• Operate a forklift as needed.
• Load and unload cargo.
• Perform check-in, tractor/trailer inspection, tractor setup, and cargo pickup/delivery.
• Other duties as assigned.
