Job summary

ABF Freight, part of the ArcBest family, is seeking a dock/delivery associate for cargo pickup and delivery within the terminal area. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, paperwork, and equipment checks, with shift variations by location.

Applicants must have a High School diploma or GED, 1 year tractor/trailer experience (or training eligibility), and a Class-A CDL with required endorsements. Must be 21+, possess a clean MVR, and pass DOT drug and medical tests.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of verifiable tractor/trailer experience (training possible).
• Class-A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker and hazardous materials endorsements required.
• Minimum 21 years of age; clean driving record; able to pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and DOT medical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine paperwork and log loading sheets.
• Exercise independent judgment in loading/unloading trailers and time/resource management.
• Operate forklift as needed.
• Load and unload cargo.
• Perform checks: check-in, tractor/trailer inspection, tractor setup, pickup and delivery of cargo.
• Other duties as assigned.
