Job summary

Peak Utility Infrastructure is seeking an Operator II to join a 2–4 person crew and operate a mini excavator around live utilities. CDL A is required; you will place utilities for residential, multifamily, and commercial projects.

Responsibilities include operating heavy equipment, hand digging, traffic control, and map reading while maintaining safety and compliance with company and DOT procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ years backhoe/mini excavator operation.
• 1+ years digging around underground utilities.
• 3+ years construction experience.
• CDL Class A required.
• Experience reading basic prints and underground facility sketches preferred.
• Pass background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maneuvers vehicles and heavy equipment.
• Inspects equipment and reports defects.
• Ensures compliance with laws, regulations and safety standards.
• Performs mid-level labor tasks including hand digging and traffic control.
• Reads utility prints and maps for trenching and installation.
• Maintains equipment and documents DVIR and logs.
• Exudes safety and communicates unsafe conditions to team.
