Job summary

Peak Utility Infrastructure in Colorado is seeking an Operator II to join a 2–4 person crew. You will operate heavy equipment and place utilities for new and existing residential, multifamily and commercial sites. A CDL is required.

You will read prints, follow safety regulations, and maintain daily paperwork. This role requires up to 30% travel and a non-exempt status; there is a pay rate of $28–$32 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• One (1+) year of backhoe/mini excavator operation.
• One (1+) year of digging around underground utilities.
• Two (2+) years of experience in dry utilities preferred.
• Three (3+) years of construction experience.
• CDL Class A is required.
• Experience reading basic prints and Underground Facility Location Sketch is preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Operates vehicles or mechanized equipment and ensures safe operation.
• Inspects equipment and reports any defects.
• Reads prints and underground sketches to locate utilities.
• Performs hand digging, traffic control, and material loading as needed.
• Ensures safety regulations and DOT requirements are followed.
• Maintains daily paperwork and reports.
• Follows 811 digging laws and company safety standards.
