Job summary

Peak Utility Infrastructure is seeking an Operator II to join a 2–4-person crew. You will operate heavy equipment (including trucks, dozers, loaders, trenchers) for utility installation and maintenance at residential, multifamily, and commercial sites. CDL A is required, and safety compliance is essential.

You will read utility prints, follow DOT procedures, and maintain daily paperwork. The role requires lifting up to 80 lbs, and travel up to 30% may be needed. Benefits and pay are DOE.

Qualifications

• One (1+) year of experience operating backhoe/mini excavator or similar heavy equipment.
• Experience digging around underground utilities is required.
• Class A CDL is required.
• Ability to read basic prints and underground facility sketches is preferred.
• Background checks and pre-employment drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maneuver, and drive heavy equipment on utility construction sites.
• Inspect equipment and identify defects or safety issues.
• Maintain paperwork such as DVIR and driver’s log book.
• Follow 811 digging laws and safe digging practices.
• Assist team with hand digging, traffic control, and material handling.
