Job summary

Peak Utility Infrastructure is seeking an Operator II to join a 2–4-person crew. The operator will handle heavy equipment, read utility prints, and ensure safety on residential, multifamily, and commercial sites.

CDL A is required, and candidates should have prior experience with backhoe/mini excavators and underground utilities. Ideal applicants have 3+ years in construction, 1+ year in digging around utilities, and are prepared for up to 30% travel.

Qualifications

• One (1+) plus years of backhoe/mini excavator operation experience.
• One (1+) plus years of digging around underground utilities.
• Two (2+) plus years in dry utilities preferred.
• Three (3+) plus years in a construction role required.
• Class A CDL required.
• Experience reading prints and underground facility sketches preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive heavy equipment per job requirements.
• Inspect equipment and identify defects or issues.
• Follow safety regulations and report abnormal conditions.
• Assist with hand digging, setup of traffic control, and material handling.
• Load materials and work safely at various utility sites.
• Maintain paperwork such as DVIR and log books.
