Job summary

Peak Utility Infrastructure is seeking an Operator II to join a small crew for heavy civil utility projects. You will operate heavy equipment, dig and place utilities, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance on residential and commercial sites.

The role requires a CDL Class A, 1+ years of backhoe/mini excavator experience, and ability to travel up to 30%. You will inspect equipment, maintain logs, and coordinate with teammates to complete tasks safely.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of backhoe/mini excavator operation required.
• 1+ years of digging around underground utilities required.
• 2+ years in a dry utilities construction role preferred.
• 3+ years in a construction role required.
• CDL Class A required.
• Experience reading utility prints preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive heavy equipment on construction sites.
• Inspect equipment and ensure safety compliance.
• Maintain DVIR, logs, and required paperwork.
• Set up traffic control and assist on trenching sites.
• Follow 811 digging laws and safe digging practices.
• Work both independently and as part of a crew.
