Job summary

McLane Company is seeking a Driver, Trainee Component - CDL A Required. The role trains alongside a Driver Trainer to perform essential distribution tasks and gain exposure to warehouse operations.

You will learn to maneuver, inspect, log deliveries, and support unloading while delivering excellent customer service across multiple locations. The position offers day-1 benefits, a sign-on bonus up to $5,000, and a pathway to becoming a qualified McLane Driver.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Possess a Class A CDL.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Read and comprehend labels, instructions, and bills of lading.
• Perform mathematical calculations to verify quantities.

Responsibilities

• Train side-by-side with a Driver Trainer to learn essential functions.
• Attach trailer and secure lines; maneuver into position.
• Operate truck safely and in compliance with DOT/regulations.
• Document deliveries and temperatures with the Driver Delivery Handheld (DDH).
• Assist in unloading and delivering products to customer premises.
• Provide on-time delivery and courteous customer service.
