Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Driver, Trainee Component. This developmental role teaches essential driver duties, trailer handling, safety compliance, and the basics of distribution across customer locations, while exposing you to warehouse and operational functions.

Pay during training is $27.75 per hour. After training, driver pay ranges from about $75,000 to $115,000 annually, with a sign-on bonus up to $7,500 based on experience.

Qualifications

• Possess a Class A CDL.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Read and comprehend labels, instructions, and bills of lading.
• Able to communicate with customers and management.

Responsibilities

• Attach trailer and secure lines; maneuver tractor.
• Drive safely under local, state, and federal regulations.
• Inspect equipment and submit DOT reports.
• Operate DDH and document deliveries and temperatures.
• Learn regulations and driving skills with a trainer.
• Maintain driver logs per DOT rules.
• Assist unloading and delivering to customer premises.
• Provide on-time delivery and customer service.
