Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is hiring a Trainee Component Driver who will learn the essential functions of the Driver role, including safe distribution of products to customer locations and exposure to warehouse operations during development. The program leads toward becoming a licensed McLane Driver.

You will train under a Driver Trainer, maintain logs, and gain practical experience in delivery, loading, and customer service with comprehensive benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maneuver tractor into position to attach trailer and secure lines.
• Operates truck safely in compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Inspect tractor-trailer equipment for defects and submit DOT inspection report.
• Document delivery receipts and temperatures using Driver Delivery Handheld (DDH).
• Rides with Driver Trainer to learn regulations and maneuvers.
• Maintain driver logs according to DOT regulations.
• Assist the Driver in unloading trailer and delivering product.
• Provide customer service with on-time delivery and undamaged product.
• Other duties as assigned.
