PFG Customized in Crown Point, IN seeks an entry-level driver trainee to learn tractor trailer and straight truck routes across local, intrastate, and interstate markets. You will train on safety, DOT compliance, and customer service while supporting food distribution operations.

The role requires a CDL-A, 21+ years of age, and a clean MVR; benefits start Day 1. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available with terms applied.

Formación

• CDL A license required.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post offer drug test.
• Pass road test.
• Attains or has valid current DOT Health Card.
• Able to hand-lift and utilize equipment to move freight weighing 60–90 pounds.

Responsabilidades

• Attend and complete PFG Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program as required.
• Ride with and assist driver trainer in executing deliveries.
• Perform safety inspections (pre/post trip) and report issues.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines.
• Inspect trailer for proper load and secure freight; complete required paperwork.
• Deliver orders according to scheduled routes; unload and obtain signatures; handle payments when required.
• Ensure equipment and freight are secured at all times; maintain logs per DOT rules.
• Complete daily hours-of-service logs and maintain a clean work area.
