Job summary

PFG Customized Distribution is seeking an entry level Driver Trainee to learn tractor trailer and straight truck operations across intrastate and interstate routes, including overnight schedules. You will perform safety inspections, assist with deliveries, and ensure accurate paperwork while upholding company safety standards.

The role offers a structured training program, weekend route exposure, and opportunities to advance within a large food distribution network.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0–6 months commercial driving experience or training.
• Valid CDL-A license.
• Must be 21+ years old.
• Meet DOT/health requirements (DOT Health Card) and pass drug test.
• Clean driving record (MVR) for past 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete entry-level driver trainee or dock-to-driver training.
• Assist driver trainer during deliveries and follow instructions.
• Perform pre/post-trip safety inspections as per DOT rules.
• Deliver customer orders, obtain signatures, and process payments as required.
• Unload goods, secure trailer, and complete required paperwork.
• Maintain hours-of-service logs and keep equipment and areas clean.
