Job summary

Performance Food Group (New) is seeking an entry-level Driver Trainee to learn tractor trailer or straight truck routes. You will ride with a trainer, perform safety checks, and learn to deliver and unload products to customers across intrastate/interstate routes.

This role features 4-day work weeks with night dispatch from 11pm–4am, Day 1 benefits, and a $10,000 sign-on bonus. No prior experience is required beyond possessing a CDL-A license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDL A License required; DOT health card and ability to obtain.
• Clean driving record (MVR) for past 3 years.
• Must be 21 years of age; meet licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete PFG Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program.
• Ride with and assist driver trainer during deliveries.
• Perform pre/post trip safety inspections per DOT regulations; report issues.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines; report hazards.
• Inspect trailers, verify freight, and complete required paperwork.
• Deliver orders via preplanned routes; unload and obtain customer signatures.
• Ensure equipment security; manage returns and trash as needed.
• Maintain hours-of-service records per regulations; complete paperwork.
• Keep work areas clean; perform other related duties.
