Job summary

Red Hawk Trucking offers a CDL-A Driver Trainee – Mentor Program that starts you on the path to your own truck with a dedicated mentor at every step. You earn about $1,300 to $1,400 weekly at $0.50 per mile after training and receive a 34‑hour reset every Sunday.

The program includes 7 days onboarding with skills evaluation, 10+ days of road training, and $75 per day during training. You’ll be paid weekly, and incentives are available for top drivers.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older with a Class A CDL.
• Finished at least 120 hours at a verifiable truck driving school in the last 12 months.
• No trucking job since school.
• 4 moving violations max in 3 years, no DUI/DWI in 5 years.
• Pass a DOT physical and urine drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Undergo a 7 day onboarding with a skills evaluation and extra training if needed.
• Receive 10+ days of road training with an experienced mentor (5 hours or more behind the wheel daily).
• Earn $75 per day during training.
• Finish with backing, pre-trip and road test, then operate solo in your own truck.
• After solo, be paid $0.50 per mile with about 2,000 safe miles per week and potential weekly incentives.

Starting out in trucking? Skip the guessing. Our program takes you from a new CDL to your own truck with a mentor at every step, then pays you $0.50 per mile solo, about $1,300 to $1,400 a week, with a 34 hour reset every Sunday.

• 7 day onboarding to start, with a skills evaluation and extra training if needed
• Hotel and $100 in food covered during onboarding
• 10+ days on the road with an experienced mentor, 5 hours or more behind the wheel daily
• $75 a day while you train
• Female students paired with female mentors
• Finish with backing, pre-trip and road test, then you are solo in your own truck
• $0.50 per mile at 2,000 safe miles a week
• 2,600 miles comes to about $1,300, 2,800 miles to about $1,400
• Weekly incentive of 8 to 10 cents per mile for top drivers
• Paid every Friday, raise every year

On the Road

• No touch dry van freight
• About 70% drop and hook
• Planned loads from our own customers
• 1 to 2 weeks out, Monday through Saturday

Equipment

• Automatic sleepers averaging 1.5 years old
• APU, fridge, double bunk, outward facing camera only
