Job summary

McLane is seeking Driver Trainees to learn the essential functions of the Driver role, including distribution to customer locations. You will gain exposure to warehouse operations during training as you work toward obtaining a Class A CDL.

Qualifications

• Complete training and receive Class A CDL in 6 months or less.
• Read and comprehend labels, bills of lading, and basic math calculations.
• Ability and willingness to load/unload and/or deliver all products as ordered by McLane customers.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer safely in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Inspect equipment and document deliveries, including product temperatures and receipts.
• Assist in unloading trailer and delivering product to customer premises.
• Maintain driver logs (Manual or PeopleNet) per DOT regulations.
