Job summary

McLane is hiring a CDL-A Driver Trainee. You’ll train with paid coaching and day‑one support to build a real driving career in logistics with a trusted industry leader.

During training you earn $21/hour; after training you can expect $90,000–$95,000 per year plus day‑one benefits, a $5,000 trainee retention bonus, and a full package including medical, dental, vision, FSA/HSA, life insurance, paid holidays, vacation and 401(k) with profit sharing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Possess a Class A CDL.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Ability to load/unload and deliver all products.

Responsibilities

• Maneuver tractor into position to attach trailer and handle lines to secure.
• Operates truck in a safe manner in compliance with regulations and policies.
• Inspect tractor-trailer equipment and submit DOT inspection report.
• Operate DDH, document receipts, temps and exceptions; ensure product security.
• Ride with Driver Trainer and learn trucking regulations and maneuvers.
• Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations.
