Job summary

McLane is seeking a Driver Trainee to learn the essential functions of the Driver role, including the distribution of products to customer locations. You will gain exposure to warehouse and other operations as part of the developmental program.

Successful candidates will train to obtain a Class A CDL within six months, with a pay program starting at $24.50 during training and $70,000–$110,000 after training, plus comprehensive benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Complete training and receive Class A CDL in 6 months or less.
• Ability and willingness to load/unload and/or deliver all products.

Responsibilities

• Maneuver tractor into position to attach trailer and secure lines.
• Operate truck safely in compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Inspect tractor-trailer equipment and submit DOT inspection report.
• Operate Driver Delivery Handheld and document deliveries and temps.
• Ride with Driver Trainer to learn routing and basic driving maneuvers.
• Maintain driver log per DOT regulations.
• Assist the Driver in unloading and delivering product.
