Job summary

FedEx Ground is seeking an experienced truck driver for our supply chain logistics team. You will drive overnight to meet delivery schedules and return home daily, with weekends and holidays required.

You will hold a CDL A, have at least 1 year tractor-trailer experience, and operate GPS/AVL systems. The role offers full-time hours, on-the-road assignments, and comprehensive benefits including dental, health, and vision insurance.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year tractor-trailer experience.
Valid CDL A license is required.
Experience with GPS/AVL/CB electronic equipment and software.
Clean driving record; no felonies.
Willing to work overnight, weekends and holidays.
Ability to adapt to traffic, weather and other unexpected conditions.

Responsibilities

Drive overnight and home daily.
Six night work week.
Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
Document and log work/rest periods and miles driven.
Input macros into our automated system for loading/unloading.
Comply with trucking rules and company policies.
Maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions.
Collect and verify delivery instructions.
Report defects, accidents or violations.
