Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a CDL-A driver responsible for picking up and delivering trailers between service centers and turn-point locations. Responsibilities include handling doubles/triples where applicable, pre-trip inspections, and accurate documentation while following dispatch instructions.

The role requires a HazMat endorsement, an MVR meeting standards, and compliance with DOT regulations. Overnight stays may be required and pay includes mileage and hourly components.

Qualifications

• CDL-A license with double/triple, hazmat, and tank endorsements.
• 1 year experience within the last 3 years or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Clean MVR and DOT regulatory compliance.
• Ability to meet LCV qualifications in specified states.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combos (including doubles/triples where applicable).
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies.
• Maintain accurate daily logs and documentation.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate issues.
• Load and unload freight as required.
• Adhere to safety and DOT regulations.
