Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a Class A CDL driver to pick up and deliver trailers between service centers and turn-points using tractor-trailer combinations. You will perform daily pre-trip inspections, hook/unhook trailers, and complete required documentation to ensure safety and on-time service.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading as needed, maintaining logs, and communicating with dispatch. Hazmat endorsement must be obtained within 120 days of offer; some schedules may require overnight

Qualifications

• Must possess a Class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat and tank endorsements.
• 1 year experience in the last 3 years or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must meet DOT and MVR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles/triples where applicable.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections; hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies.
• Maintain accurate daily logs and required documentation; comply with regulations and company policies.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate any delays or problems to dispatch.
