Job summary

Patriot Environmental Services is seeking a qualified Heavy Equipment Driver to join our environmental services team in Virginia. Responsibilities include operating heavy equipment, delivering materials, and preparing Haz-Mat manifests while maintaining DOT/FMCSA compliance.

The role requires a valid CDL Class A, Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, and 2–5 years of experience in heavy equipment operation with 40-hour HAZWOPER training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CDL, Class A preferred.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required.
• HAZWOPER 40-hour required.
• 2–5 years of heavy equipment driving experience required.
• 1–5 years in hazardous waste control/environmental services preferred.
• Pre-employment: drug/alcohol screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate at least two types of heavy equipment (e.g., 50/70 Barrel Vacuum, Roll-Off trucks).
• Make deliveries safely and in a timely manner.
• Prepare Haz-Mat and Non-Haz manifests.
• Maintain DOT/FMCSA logs, timesheets and vehicle inspections.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of vehicles.
• Answer 24/7 Emergency Response calls; work long hours, including nights and weekends.
• Comply with Random Drug Testing.
