Red Hawk Trucking is hiring an entry-level CDL-A driver for an over-the-road paid training program. You start with a short mentor-led training period, then you drive solo at $0.50 per mile, targeting about 2,600 to 2,800 miles weekly.

CDL-A Driver - Entry Level OTR - Paid Training Program

New drivers usually hear the same thing: come back when you have experience. We say come in now. A short paid training period, a mentor in the passenger seat, and then $0.50 per mile solo, which adds up to roughly $1,300 to $1,400 weekly for 2,600 to 2,800 miles.

Earnings at a Glance

• Mentor training pays $75 a day
• Solo rate of $0.50 per mile once you run 2,000 safe miles, identical to what veterans start at
• Top performers pick up 8 to 10 cents per mile extra each week
• $200 orientation pay after hire

Getting Trained

• 7 day onboarding to learn the company and show us your driving, with added coaching if you need it
• Hotel paid and $100 for meals that week
• A minimum of 10 days over the road with a mentor, 5 or more hours driving daily
• Women in the program are paired with female mentors
• Backing test, pre-trip and road test at the end, then your own truck
• Travel to training reimbursed up to $800

A Normal Week Solo

• No touch dry van, roughly 70% drop and hook
• Loads booked 24 to 72 hours out from our own shippers
• Monday through Saturday on the road, Sunday reset every week
• 1 to 2 weeks out, truck goes home with you

Who Qualifies

• Age 21 or older, valid Class A CDL
• 120 or more hours of CDL training at a verifiable school, finished in the past 12 months
• Have not driven for a trucking company since school
• 4 moving violations or fewer in 3 years and no DUI/DWI in 5 years
• Able to pass urine drug testing and a DOT physical
