Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Driver – CDL(A) in Winchester, VA to safely operate heavy trucks and perform prompt delivery and waste removal in compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities include pre/post inspections, servicing routes, interacting with customers, and completing required reports while maintaining safety and productivity.

Two years of truck driving experience and a Class A CDL with air brakes endorsement are preferred and may be required in some locations.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior experience driving commercial trucks preferred.
• Class A Commercial Driver’s License with air brakes endorsement required.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle in accordance with policy.
• Safely operate heavy truck along designated route and service each customer on the route sheet.
• Operate controls to lift and load refuse, and dispose of material at the designated facility.
• Interact with customers, dispatchers and others to ensure timely and professional service.
• Perform minor repairs to containers on site or in the yard.
• Complete required route sheets, VCRs and other reports as required.
• Maintain adherence to productivity standards and safety policies.
• Participate in the company’s ReSOP program.
