Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Driver – CDL(A) to safely operate a heavy commercial truck, provide prompt delivery and removal of large containers, and ensure compliance with safety standards. The role requires daily inspections, timely service, and courteous customer interactions across designated routes.

You will perform pre/post inspections, document safety issues, load and unload containers, and complete required reports while upholding all safety policies and ReSOP guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspections of the vehicle.
• Report safety issues using standard reports.
• Safely operate heavy trucks along designated routes and service customers.
• Load/unload waste containers, operate compactors, and dispose of material.
• Interact courteously with customers and dispatchers to ensure timely service.
• Perform minor repairs to containers on-site or in the yard.
• Tag unsatisfactory containers and monitor waste for safety.
• Maintain vehicle readiness and hygiene around disposal trips.
• Complete route/productivity sheets and required reports.
• Follow safety policies and participate in ReSOP program.
