Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a CDL-A Driver to safely operate heavy commercial trucks and provide efficient refuse collection and delivery services. The role requires adherence to safety standards, routine vehicle inspections, and courteous interaction with customers and dispatchers.

Responsibilities include loading and unloading, operating a compactor, and performing minor repairs on-site. A CDL-A with air brakes endorsement is required, with two years of prior trucking experience preferred.

Qualifications

• CDL-A with air brakes endorsement required.
• Two years of prior experience driving commercial trucks preferred.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude for minor repairs to containers.
• Excellent customer service skills and professional conduct toward customers and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections.
• Safely operate heavy truck along designated route and service customers.
• Load/unload refuse and operate compactor per safety policies.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and colleagues.
• Identify unsatisfactory containers and tag as required.
• Maintain safety standards and complete required reports.
