Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Driver – CDL (A) to safely operate heavy trucks and deliver or remove large containers in a timely, courteous manner. You will ensure compliance with safety standards, complete daily vehicle condition reports, and service routes as directed by dispatch.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior experience driving commercial trucks preferred.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude to perform minor repairs to containers.
• Class A CDL with air brakes endorsement is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
• Safely operate heavy truck along designated routes and service customers as scheduled.
• Load/unload waste, operate compactor, and dispose of materials at the designated facility.
• Interact courteously with customers and dispatchers to maintain timely service.
• Report safety issues and perform minor container repairs as needed.
