Job summary

MetroHealth in Ohio is recruiting a registered nurse for the Critical Care Step Down Unit, 7 West. The unit features 24 beds and a 7a-7p/7p-7a rotating shift schedule with weekends and holidays on rotation.

Join a team that uses advanced telemetry, central line care, and bedside procedures to care for patients with CHF, COPD, DKA, and sepsis. Sign-on bonuses up to $10,000 for experienced RNs and $5,000 for new graduates are available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in Ohio.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• ACLS certification or obtain within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) with 24 beds.
• Interpret EKGs and monitor telemetry.
• Care for patients requiring central line care and respiratory support (BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, Trach/Vents).
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
• Collaborate with PCNAs, Nurse Interns, Providers, PT and OT.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, delegation, and time management.
