Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Critical Care Step Down Unit, 7 West, in Ohio. The position features a rotating shift (7a-7p/7p-7a) with rotating weekends and holidays, and a bi-weekly total of 72 hours. A sign-on bonus up to $10,000 is offered for qualified experience and $5,000 for new graduates.

The unit has 24 beds and emphasizes telemetry-enabled care. You will care for patients with CHF, COPD, DKA and sepsis, perform EKG interpretation, central line care, and assist

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (or candidate in accreditation process).
• Current Ohio RN license.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• ACLS certification current or within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care on the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) for the primary populations listed.
• Perform EKG interpretation, central line care and support bedside procedures (endoscopies/bronchoscopies).
• Utilize critical thinking, delegating and time management to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.
• Collaborate with PCNAs, Nurse Interns, providers, PT and OT to coordinate care.
