Job summary

Rogers Behavioral Health is seeking a Behavior Specialist to support delivery of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy interventions across treatment programs. The role involves assessing behavior, designing and implementing individualized plans, and training patients and support persons in CBT strategies.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a human-services field, plus CBT experience and a Counselor-in-Training credential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in human services, psychology, social work, or related field.
• Valid Substance Abuse Counselor-in-Training credential (or state equivalent).
• CBT experience (12 months preferred).
• For Residential programs, driver’s license in good standing (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide CBT and other therapeutic services including groups to patients under supervision.
• Participate in supervision sessions and communicate patient progress with the clinical leader.
• Monitor the effectiveness of interventions and adjust plans with clinical guidance.
• Document mental health services per regulations and payer expectations.
• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and contribute to treatment plans.
• Communicate treatment interventions and support needs to interdisciplinary team members.
• Provide training to direct care staff on CBT interventions and strategies.
• Provide training to parents/support persons on CBT and behavior plans.
• Ensure patient safety and facility safety at all times.
• Assist with staffing/scheduling changes as needed.
• Pursue ongoing learning and participate in committees as assigned.
