Job summary

Rogers Behavioral Health seeks a Behavior Specialist to support CBT-based interventions across treatment programs. You will assess behavior, develop and implement individualized plans, and train patients and caregivers within an interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, relevant CBT experience, and certification trainings (CPR, NCI, RCC/CBRF). A strong emphasis on documentation and safety is noted in the responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required in human services, psychology, social work, or related field.
• Substance Abuse Counselor-in-Training credential or state equivalent for Addiction Recovery programs.
• Relevant CBT experience preferred (12 months).
• CPR certification within 30 days of hire; NCI training within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide cognitive behavioral and other therapeutic services including groups.
• Participate in supervision sessions with Clinical leader and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Monitor effectiveness of interventions and adjust as needed.
• Document mental health services in patient records and RCC/CBRF contexts.
• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and assist in treatment planning.
• Communicate interventions and support needs to interdisciplinary team and supports.
• Provide training to direct care staff and to parents/support persons.
• Ensure patient safety and adjust staffing as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
