Job summary

Rogers Behavioral Health, Inc. is seeking a Behavior Specialist to support the delivery of CBT interventions within treatment programs.

You will assess behavior, develop plans, train patients and support persons, and monitor progress with an interdisciplinary team under clinical leadership. The role involves providing CBT services, participating in supervision, documenting care, and ensuring safety for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Must hold a valid Substance Abuse Counselor-in-Training credential or state equivalent.
• CBT experience (12 months) preferred.
• Driver’s license for Residential programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide cognitive behavioral and other therapeutic services including groups to patients under supervision.
• Participate in supervision sessions and communicate patient progress and care plan adjustments.
• Monitor intervention effectiveness and adjust as needed in consultation with the clinical leader.
• Document mental health services per regulations and payer expectations.
• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and assist in treatment plan development.
• Communicate interventions and support needs to the interdisciplinary team and supports.
• Provide parent or support person training on CBT interventions and behavior plans.
• Ensure patient safety and facility safety.
• Support staffing/scheduling changes as needed.
• Pursue ongoing learning and participate in committees as required by management.
